The solution appears to be the installation of a USB3 card. I do video with large files so TB storage with a fast transfer speed is helpful.Īpparently the 5,1 is capable of USB 3.0 (or USB3 as some call it), but the MP external USB ports are 2.0. Trying to keep a work station going over time is like a moving target as technology keep changing. Also have a couple desktop hard drives for archiving that have USB3.0 and are “brick powered”.
